International Conference: ‘Who determines the security (research) agenda?’

21 October 2016

Wondering who should take the lead in facing key contemporary challenges like terrorism, cyber-attacks and hybrid warfare, how different actors work together and what the challenges of collaboration are? Join the NHC in attending the International Conference ‘Who determines the security (research) agenda?’ organized by the Institute of Security and Global Affairs (ISGA) of Leiden University.

Understanding the importance of a multi-layered dialogue to approach challenges of such high scale, the Conference brings together a group of experienced individuals in the public and private sectors for the official opening of the ISGA. Speakers include ISGA director, Edwin Bakker; Dick Schoof, the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism; and Professor Beatrice de Graaf, a prominent expert in the field of terrorism and security.

In collaboration, the NHC will also be present giving out information and networking with professionals and authors interested in contributing to the Security and Human Rights Journal and website (SHR Monitor).

For more information on those speaking at the Conference, please visit the event website at www.isga2016.nl, where you may also register. The Conference will be held in the Hague, Netherlands, on November 9th and 10th 2016. Registration and an information package are available on their website.
