Sarah de Lange

Sarah de Lange is a professor of Dutch politics at the Institute of Political Science at Leiden University. Her research focuses on emerging societal and political divides, the associated rise of the far right, and the impact of this movement on the functioning of democracy. She regularly contributes to international and national media productions that focus, among other things, on Dutch politics, the rise of the far right, and the state of liberal democracy in Western Europe, and she has been a member of various advisory committees for ministries, parliament, and government, including the Council for Public Administration (2011–2019).
