Annemiek van Goor

Programme Manager

Annemiek van Goor joined the organisation in May 2018 as Programme Manager. She has over 15 years of experience in human rights with a focus on women and children with NGOs and various departments of the United Nations, including UNICEF, UN Women, OHCHR, and UNDP. Most recently, she worked in the monitoring and implementation of women and children’s rights relating to human trafficking, discrimination, and access to justice. Annemiek has experience in analysis, advising, and development of policies relating to sexual and gender-based violence, forced marriages, women trafficking, and prostitution. She has worked on strengthening the protection of victims through capacity building, advocacy, and knowledge sharing.

Annemiek holds a Master degree in International Peace Studies specialised in human rights and Master degree in Sociology specialised in research. She also has certifications in human rights research methods, gender awareness, conflict analysis, and international humanitarian law.
