Barclay joined the Netherlands Helsinki Committee in September 2022 as a Junior Programme Officer. She earned her MSc in Comparative Criminal Justice from Leiden University following her degree in Psychology (BA) from Bucknell University. Her dedication to criminal justice system reform extends beyond formal education. Barclay interned at the Pennsylvania Prison Society where she helped develop a two-pronged response method to quicken response time to requests of incarcerated people. Most recently, Barclay worked as a research assistant for Leiden University and the NeuroLabNL and contributed to projects such as a systematic review on crime and social safety during the times of COVID-19.
