Louise holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Amsterdam University College where she majored in International Relations with a minor in Culture where she focused on combining traditional and non-traditional forms of peace building. Afterwards she obtained her Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Governance from the University of Amsterdam with a concentration on Humanitarian Affairs.
Before joining the Netherlands Helsinki Committee in January 2021, Louise worked for a number of different social organizations over the last years based in India, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. For the last two years alongside her studies, Louise has worked for the social engagement project, the Giant Dolls House project, where she worked on installations with Oxfam GB, Refugee Week and the London Festival of Architecture. More recently Louise volunteered in Calais and worked in the political lobby team for the Amnesty International Lets Talk About Yes! Campaign.
Louise is a native speaker of both Dutch and English and has a more basic understanding of French and German.
