Danes je nov dan’s project was motivated by a gap in the active and sustainable involvement of civil society organisations in anti-corruption efforts in Slovenia. Anti-corruption CSOs face limited resources and unstable funding, so the project responds by helping them build a national coalition to amplify collective advocacy and share resources in pursuit of transparency and accountability. Since the start of the project, Danes je nov dan has promoted regular coordination, capacity building, and joint policy engagement. Achievements include integrity and anti-corruption training for NGOs, numerous policy submissions and comments on the rule of law and transparency, a public roundtable on algorithms in governance, and contributions to an anti-corruption action plan, followed by working meetings with the Ministry of Justice. The organisation will continue to build alliances with CSOs to multiply their joint impact, monitor policy, and advocate for enhanced transparency.

About the Project
CSO Storyteller: Bridging the communication gap with short-form video generation
DJND’s project aims to address the challenge that anti-corruption CSOs in Slovenia face in communicating their work beyond major corruption scandals, due to the complexity and nuance of the topics. Most organisations focus on policy and research, and few narratives effectively challenge the general tolerance of corrupt practices, while the education system does not adequately cover the issue. The project seeks to engage younger audiences through accessible and relatable formats, reducing the time, resources and skills CSOs need for effective communication. Activities include developing an innovative open-source short-form video tool on anti-corruption and integrity themes and training CSOs to use it. The project will produce 14 videos and strengthen visibility, public awareness, outreach, and social media presence for DJND and partner CSOs.
