Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD) is a public policy institute working to advance reforms in Europe by influencing policy and civil society and"building bridges between scholars and policymakers." CSD has over 25 years of experience in fighting corruption and state capture, and strong expertise in the rule of law and fundamental rights. About the Project

Unveiling the Nexus: Mapping the Links Between Corruption and Domestic and Gender-based Violence in Bulgaria

The aim of the project was to investigate the overlooked intersections between corruption and gender-based violence in Bulgaria, showcasing how both issues undermine women’s well-being and prevent institutional support. The project advanced the understanding of the intersection, developed a research tool “Vulnerability Index”, and promoted dialogue to motivate policies and actions.
