About the Project
Increasing the Advocacy Capacity of ANAIS Working-Group GRAAL – The Legislative Analysis and Harmonization Group
ANAIS’s project sought to address the challenges women face in accessing justice for gender-based violence in Romania, with a focus on refugees and immigrants. ANAIS established the Legislative Analysis and Harmonization Group (GRAAL), bringing together legal professionals and experts on gender equality and refugee issues. GRAAL analysed legislation, identified gaps and inconsistencies, and drafted 48 proposed amendments to improve victim protection. The team organised a major conference on femicide, held expert and stakeholder meetings, and raised public awareness about domestic violence prevention and victim support.
