bgbeactive.orgBG Be Active's mission is to offer alternative solutions to existing urban health challenges, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the health, well-being, and civic engagement of the community. The organization works toward this mission through networking initiatives, community projects, awareness campaigns, workshops, and training in the areas of placemaking, the environment, and grassroots sports. Its aim is to bring together representatives from civil society, community activists, public authorities, and experts to collaborate and create viable solutions.
About the Project
Active Neighbourhoods for Climate Mitigation
This project seeked to address the lack of awareness about climate change in Bulgaria and to provide spaces where problems and solutions can be discussed. This objective have been tackled by building awareness about the environmental agenda in Bulgaria, exploring the impact of climate change on the local community and raising awareness about the possible solutions and strategies against climate change. BG Be Active conducted several successful activities such as the largely popular health conference in Plovdiv, three focus groups with 162 participants and a webinar totaling 131 participants.
