Founded by a woman with a disability, the centre empowers women with disabilities and supports their full integration into society. Its mission is to improve the quality of life and independence through community-based services. The organisation aims to enhance the lives of persons with disabilities, with a focus on women and children, and works to promote human rights, advocacy and autonomy.
About the Project
Equality Without Discrimination for Women With Disabilities
The project addressed the persistent double discrimination faced by women with disabilities in Croatia and Slovenia, including limited safety, lack of protection from violence and the absence of reliable data to guide national policies. It aimed to collect data, investigate rights violations, raise awareness of legal protections and strengthen the position of women with disabilities in society. The organisation held partner meetings, carried out research, produced a report, ran a focus group and delivered workshops on rights and self advocacy. Through these activities, the project raised awareness and supported women with disabilities to understand their rights and speak up about the challenges they faced.

As part of the project, the center produced a Report which investigated the extent to which women with disabilities in Croatia and Slovenia are exposed to violations of their rights and discrimination.
