The Centre for Peace Studies (CPS) is a Croatian civil society organisation that protects human rights and promotes social change based on the principles of democracy, anti-fascism, non-violence, solidarity, and equality. Our vision is a just, open, and peaceful society where institutions guarantee freedom, social security, and equality for all. CPS works through education, research, advocacy, and direct support in four strategic areas: education and empowerment for social change, asylum and migration, inclusive society, and strengthening civil society initiatives. With nearly 30 years of experience, CPS is a key actor in advancing civic participation and defending EU fundamental values.

About the Project

Voices that Lead: Communication Empowerment of Migrant Women for Human Rights

Strengthening the capacity of migrant women leaders and grassroots groups to design and deliver effective advocacy messages, utilise social media strategically, and produce accessible communication materials is essential to reclaim civic space and reinforce the EU’s values of equality, democracy, and human rights.

By supporting migrant women to share their stories publicly, build alliances, and translate their lived experiences into visible campaigns, the project will help shift public narratives, increase awareness of women’s rights, and foster broader societal support for inclusion. In doing so, it will contribute to a more resilient civil society in Croatia, better equipped to defend human rights and to counter the shrinking of democratic space.
