16 Days of Activism to Fight Gender-based Violence

The project responds to insufficient awareness of gender-based violence, including violence in youth relationships, which not only affects victims, but also leaves long-term and profound consequences for entire families and the wider social community.

This project aims to educate young people about gender equality issues, violence, and advocating for change. Additionally, it will raise awareness among the community about the unacceptability of violence, encourage activism, and empower community members to raise their voices for women’s rights, for equality, and against gender-based violence.

Through educational workshops in high schools and roundtable discussions, we will strengthen the capacities of young people to recognize and respond to gender-based violence. We will conduct a public campaign consisting of a public call for young people to come up with a campaign slogan; creating graffiti of the chosen slogan; a campaign poster in public transport that will raise awareness of gender equality and forms of gender-based violence, along with information on helpline contacts; organizing film screenings of 3 titles relevant to the topic, and a literary meeting and conversation with the author of the book.
