www.roda.hrSince 2001, Roda has advocated for a vision of a society that actively protects and promotes the rights of children and (future) parents. We advocate for women's right to safe and accessible healthcare during abortion, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and medically assisted reproduction. Roda's mission is to create a society responsible for children and (future) parents by informing, educating, and actively advocating in the areas of (future) parents' and children's rights, sexual and reproductive health, and women's rights, and supporting parenthood and breastfeeding.
About the Project
RECORD – Raising public awareness about compliance of medical documentation with gynecological procedures
Painful gynecological procedures are frequently performed on women during abortion, medically assisted fertilization and childbirth without explanation and consent, and are often not (properly) recorded in their medical documentation. For women seeking to initiate legal proceedings for the violation of their rights and health, incomplete or inaccurate documentation can prevent them from doing so.
The extent of the problem is currently unknown. Therefore, Roda plans to conduct a national survey on the compliance of medical documentation and gynecological procedures, process the data obtained through the survey and raise awareness among women, healthcare workers and the public about the importance of accurate and detailed medical documentation.
The results will strengthen Roda’s advocacy capacity, empower us to raise public awareness about respecting women’s rights in the healthcare system, and the project will encourage women citizens to participate in research. The social media campaign will raise public awareness and promote fundamental EU values and rights, in particular dignity, human rights and equality, non-discrimination, gender equality, and the right to healthcare.
