Supporting a vibrant civil society in Europe
SEX vs THE STORK Association / Asociaţia SEXUL vs BARZA
sexulvsbarza.roThe SEX vs THE STORK Association works for gender equality in systemic ways. The organization responds to the lack of education about gender equality and reproductive health in Romania, by training professionals working with institutionalized teenagers on comprehensive sex education and by providing free online information and support services on sexual and emotional health. Additionally, it advocates for gender equality, invests in the national family planning centers network, and represents women’s rights NGOs in the Romanian Economic and Social Council.
About the Project
In the (K)now: Reproductive Rights in Romania
The project will increase awareness and education on reproductive rights and gender equality as fundamental EU values for the general public, but especially for teenagers and young women. Through the project’s communications campaign, the beneficiaries will be better informed on the work on women’s rights done by the Romanian NGOs and why it matters. Further, by organizing a media and NGO round table, the media will be more aware and involved in the subject of reproductive rights. Overall, the general public will benefit from better knowledge of EU values and better media presence on gender equality.
