Catalyst of Change
Supporting a vibrant civil society in Europe
Transparency International Slovenia
transparency.siTransparency International Slovenia has actively promoted transparency, integrity and anti-corruption since 2009. As part of the global Transparency International network, the organisation focuses on preventing corruption through advocacy, education and research. It raises awareness about the importance of ethical behaviour in politics, government, business and civil society. TI Slovenia develops and implements preventive measures, monitors public attitudes towards integrity and corruption, and collaborates with authorities and civil society to strengthen anti-corruption efforts. Its key areas include whistleblower protection, oversight of public spending, transparency in the public sector, integrity in the private sector and broader awareness-raising initiatives.
About the Project
Everything in One Place about Corruption in Slovenia
With this project, TI Slovenia aimed to adress the growing problem of corruption in Slovenia, which undermines democracy, weakens trust in institutions, and diverts resources that could support other important causes. The project’s goal was to empower civil society to carry out fact-based advocacy and hold anti-corruption institutions accountable for their impact on governance and the rule of law. To achieve this, TI Slovenia developed a “one-stop-shop” platform, VEM o korupciji v Sloveniji, presenting five years of publicly available corruption data in a user-friendly way and creating a methodology for ongoing data collection. The project also produced and disseminated a research report, held public roundtables and workshops, and promoted dialogue on prevention practices.
