IN MEMORIAM: Nel Barendrecht and Til Gardeniers-Berendsen

In the last month, two former members of the Netherlands Helsinki Committee passed away. Mrs. Nel Barendrecht, a former MP, had been member of the executive committee from 1995 up until 2002. Mrs. Til Gardeniers-Berendsen, a former cabinet minister, had been member of the NHC as of the starting period of the Committee. They contributed to strengthening the position and reputation of the NHC in Dutch society. The NHC remembers them both with respect.
